What a month! It went by so quickly that I didn't even have a chance to sit and write a new post. Carter and I got through another hot Mississippi August with several trips to the pool and a regular supply of popsicles. Tyler finished up his flying around the end of the month and on the 25th we found out our first AF assignment.... Ty will be flying the F-15E STRIKE EAGLE! Ty's parents and my brother were able to come out for the ceremony, so it was great to be surrounded by family to enjoy such an important night! Carter was so overjoyed when he saw the picture of the F-15E on the screen when they announced what Ty had received, he shouted, "SO PROUD OF YOU DADDY!" This was after of course the audience had stopped clapping and the room was full of silence. He repeated that over and over for days, it really melted our hearts! It was such an exciting night and fun to be able to start thinking about our next move to Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina!
