September 2006

Another crazy month that started with Tyler receiving his wings and graduating from Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT). It was another beautiful ceremony that we were able to share with his parents and his grandparents from Arizona. The weekend passed far too quickly though, because the following Monday he was to fly out to New Mexico for the centerfuge, straight from there to go up and finish Survivial/Resistance Training in Spokane, WA then back down to Valdosta, GA to Moody AFB to start Introductory to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF). He was to be gone for a grand total of 11 weeks. Carter and I started to quickly make arrangements to go back to Wyoming to stay with family while our Daddy was away. The time away from him was very tough and I know that I couldn't have done it without the support that both of our families gave. Carter was very good through it all and was so excited to be around his grandparents, aunts/uncles and of course THE COUSINS! It was also very hard on Ty to be away from both Carter and I, but he was able to stay focused and did very well in all of his training. We were all very anxious to see each other for a fun weekend at the end of October and stayed busy enough that the time passed fairly quickly.
