John and Joni called me up on Thursday evening and asked if I could meet them in Salt Lake City for the weekend. The kids and I are currently "flying solo" so needless to say, both kids and Mom were up for a road trip!
Here's what we did with our short 24 hours together:
Saturday March 27th
12noon- Arrived at hotel
1:15pm- Caught the tram to Energy Solutions Arena
2:15pm- Picked up tickets to the Elite Eight Basketball Game (Butler vs. Kansas State)
2:35pm- Tip Off
5:30pm- Game Over… Butler Wins
5:35pm- Went to the Children’s Museum at the Gateway Mall
6:45pm- Dinner at Biaggis Restaurant- (Butternut Squash Ravioli = HEAVEN!) Would you believe that the pizza in the picture with Carter was the "Kids Pizza?"
8:00pm- Tickets to How to Train Your Dragon at the IMAX (A++ in our book!)
10:35pm- Took the tram back to the hotel
Sunday, March 28th: HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!
9am- Breakfast at the hotel
10:15am- Egg hunt in the hotel room
11:30am- On the road back to Idaho
