The first game of the season was yesterday and Carter's team, the Fire Hawks, won 12-5. The weather was near perfect and Whitleigh and I had a fabulous time cheering on our favorite player, #1 from the United States of America, standing 40" tall and weighing in at 38lbs........
CARTER WALLLLLLSSSHHHHH!
A new rule this year is that only 4 of the 8 players are allowed out on the field at a time. Each set of 4 plays for 4 minutes and then they swap, essentially letting each kid play half of the game. I thought for sure this would be a deal breaker for Carter but he actually did very well sitting out on the sidelines and cheering during the swap-outs. However, he turned on his game face when it was his turn and it was so much fun watching him play and score his goals... all 10 of them. His Walsh blood was shining it's true colors, that's for sure!
This is Whitleigh's "I have lip gloss on so therefore, I'm sooo much better than all of this right now" look. She had her legs crossed and everything. I love this little girl! 
Below is nothing more than a quick pretend game of Star Wars taking place on the sidelines. Standard.I guess it's a step up from wrestling his teammates.
