First Day of Preschool

Carter woke up early this morning with a smile painted across his face! He quickly ate a breakfast of champions and was more than ready to get ready to leave for school. He was so excited! He talked a mile a minute all the way there and we could barely get the car parked before he was unbuckled and jumping out of his seat. We both walked him into his hallway to sign in and then helped him hang his backpack in his "cubbie." With time for one last picture, he was off to the basketball courts to play. Ty and I managed to call him over for one last hug and off he ran again!

We watched him play for just a few minutes and then headed to the car. Whitleigh was a bit confused. She kept looking over at Carter's seat and saying, "Dar-tur?" "Dar-tur?" She also looked in his room once we got home to see if for some reason he would be there once we did get home. Her and I had a lazy morning and then, before we knew it, it was time to go and pick Carter back up. We all saw him on top of one of the play areas and Whitleigh quickly started yelling out his name. His trained ears heard and we watched him immediately start looking around for us! We all made eye contact and he hurried down the slide! He grabbed his coat and backpack and was ready to tell us all about his morning!

They read "The Kissing Hand," and "Brown Bear, Brown Bear." He was the weather helper for the day and got to change the sunny sticker to windy since it was 50 degrees and breezy from the minute we dropped him off until we picked him up again. He met two little boys named Derek and Andrew, which he thought was pretty neat and he brought home one little coloring project with his hand traced on it. He said it was just, "so, so, so much fun!"
