Where does the time go?! It doesn't seem possible that we are celebrating Carter's 6th Christmas and Whitleigh's 3rd! I guess there's nothing like Santa photos to show you how much your kids have grown over the past year. WOW!

A little background on this year's Christmas:
In our house, Christmas lists start getting formulated around mid-November. Carter has been stuck on this Nerf/Lego Star Wars kick for awhile, so he was going to be fairly easy to buy for this year. Whitleigh seems to change with the wind but did stick with one general idea. A kitten. We talked about several other "options," mainly ones involving batteries but she quickly caught on and started saying, "No a wheeeeel titten." At the beginning of the month, we took her to PetSmart and let her play with a few "wheel" ones and one really naughty one ended up attacking her hand and scratching her pretty bad. Sadly enough, it was one of the funnier moments we'd ever experienced and also tramatic enough on Whitleigh that we thought for sure she'd rethink her request. Thankfully, she started becoming a lot more open to the idea of the white mechanical cat in the toy department.

Us: "Ok guys, are you ready to go see Santa?
Kids: "YYYYEEEAAAAAHHHH!!!!!"
Us: "Good, good! Okay, and you know what you are going to say when he asks you what you want, right?"
Carter: "Yea, of course. The Nerf Vulcan EBF 25. It shoots like 35 rounds a second Mom. It's going to be so fun."
Us: "Wow, yea. Sounds... breakable. Whitleigh how about you? Are you ready? Remember, you were going to tell Santa you wanted a white kitten."
Whitleigh: "No, not anymore. I dist want a black titten that can scrape me."
WHAT?!?!?!?
10 minutes later...
Both kids walk hand in hand up to see the big man in the red suit. Whitleigh gave us several classic "thumb-ups" and then nervously climbed onto his lap. Ty and I got our photo op and then came time for the all important question. Let's just say, they both followed through on what they had planned to say. Yes, even sassy pants Whitleigh.
