Happy Birthday Daddy!

The Big 28! The kids and I had fun spoiling Ty on his birthday this year. He took the day off from work and we went to Boise. He chose Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and picked out a few things as we shopped the afternoon away. We got back home and watched a movie together as the kids finished their naps. I had grand plans to make him one of his favorite meals (homemade chicken fried steak) but dinner time snuck up on all of us. So, we enjoyed Papa Murphy's pizza instead and made the big meal the next night which just so happened to be Veteran's Day, so it worked out just fine! Both kids helped with his cake and made Ty little gifts. I had asked Whitleigh about a week before what she thought Daddy might like. In all honesty and pure joy on her face she half whispered, "A wun-da-ful Princess puzzle!" If we would have found a "wun-da-ful" one, we soooooo would have bought it. But we didn't so, she painted him a picture of Snow White and the mean woman instead. Carter worked on his "book" for several weeks which was a compilation of several pictures he had drawn of the two of them. He finally got it all together the night before and was bursting with both pride and excitement. On Tuesday morning, after getting home about 11:30 the night before, Ty was woke up (very, very early) by both kids jumping and crawling all over him. You would have thought it was their own birthdays! They shared their gifts and immediately asked if he wanted doughnuts for breakfast. Who wouldn't, right?
We love you so much Daddy!
