Fall Soccer- Team Ninjas

This year for Fall Soccer, Carter was old enough to enter into the "All Boys" league which to a 6 year old boy, is a big deal! Unfortunately, he landed on the team with the only woman coach who was neither a mom or friend of one of the other 6 or 7 year old boys. A little strange but, we both figured we'd have to get over it.

Without going into details, she ended up being T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E. Thankfully, Carter (being your typical male) was more focused on playing and didn't actually realize just how horrible things were on the side lines. Boy, did his Mother have a tough time getting over it though...Sheesh!

The season was only 6 weeks long but was such a huge learning experience for him. The pace of the game had changed quite a bit and he got to see what some real competition was all about. They lost their first game of the season which was Carter's first loss in a soccer game, ever. Tough, yet a very important life lesson. He also learned pretty quick that his speed was his "secret weapon" especially due to his height disadvantage. We all had so much fun watching him mature in the game and by the end of the season actually watch some "real" soccer!

Great action shots! I love the one where his tongue is poking out of his mouth :)
