Our New Rides

Every time Ty gets back from a deployment there seems to be one thing that he gets his heart set on and doesn't stop thinking or talking about it until it's bought. After being gone on his first deployment, first was purchase was this:

In June, when he got back from his second one, he insisted that this be the summer that we ALL got bikes!

To be perfectly honest. I was more excited for him to get a saw than I was for a bike.

Unfortunately, I ate my words more times than not this summer. We all loved them! Our routine was this: every evening after dinner we'd all get on our bikes and ride until the sun set. Come home, bath, and then bedtime for kiddos.

I really couldn't tell you what I loved more... the amazing family time, the beautiful Idaho summer evenings OR the amount of energy it drained from our kids who literally hit the pillow 20 minutes after being home.

Who knew what a blessing bikes could be?! Good choice, Ty!
