Soccer Season- 09

Ty had so much fun coaching this year. He missed Carter's first soccer season when he was gone in the fall so to experience him out of the field was SUCH a fun thing to watch. Ty's friend, Derek, helped out when he could and both guys' patience meters was tapped out by the end of the season. It was an interesting learning experience for me as well. I have never played the sport before and was in charge of most practices since Ty's work can be so random. Most times, I would run out of ideas and we'd end up playing grass tag for a good chuck of the time. We had fun... I guess that's what counts! :-D

Carter did great though! He loved every minute of practices and games. He scored a total of 10 goals in the 4 games he played and even dedicated a few of them to me on my birthday! He wanted to be #7 like Ronaldo. One afternoon during the season, he sat and watched a Manchester United game and studied the game and every move Ronaldo made. We can only imagine what he's going to be like 10 years from now!

Whitleigh was a great cheerleader! She preferred to be on the back or hip of which ever one of us were out on the field during practices or games but, we tried our best to keep her in her seat on the sideline. She is very eager to get out there!
