Yesterday afternoon we announced to the kids that we were going to dye Easter eggs. We got our typical, "WOO-HOO!" from Whitleigh followed by Carter's 683 questions of who/what/where/when and why. Somehow through our egg dyeing explanation he got the impression that we would be physically painting the eggs, which did not excite him in the least. So when he found out the simplicity of just dropping them in a color (or two)... he was an egg coloring machine! Whitleigh preferred to stay near the color pink and was much more comfortable scooping the pink water up with the spoon and mixing it into the other colors. Of course, this threw Mr. Perfect (Carter) for a loop and both Ty and I were very thankful that we only boiled 18 eggs. All in all, a very fun time!
