July/August/September/October

It would only be appropriate for us to combine the last months of summer and beginning of fall in one blog because of the fact that it always passes by so quickly. It's Halloween and I finally realize how much time has really passed. The quick recap- July was filled with very long, hot summer days and one big fun trip back home to Wyoming. Most of the family got to see Whitleigh for the first time and Mommy had the priveledge of traveling with two little ones by herself for the first time... she is always SOOOO lucky! We had a fabulous time and everyone was so happy to see us. Ty finished up flying by the end of the month and we were preparing for yet another graduation ceremony. The graduation started August off, which Ty's parents were able to make it out for. We had a fun time with them and actually got the chance to visit the beach over the weekend. It was beautiful and very hot! Carter wasn't to sure about the waves... they were pretty intimidating, but loved being chased by them as they rolled up the beach. Whitleigh wasn't sure what to think, the sand was a different feeling on her little toes. Around the second week of August, we started preparing for our third move. Before we knew it, we were packed up and heading out west to be homeless for a month while we enjoyed some much needed vacation time in Wyoming before reporting in Idaho by the first of October. We were able to stop and see quite a few friends and family along the way which really helped break up the 2,000 mile car trip! Thank you again to all that let us stay with you! :-)
Our month back home was filled with lots of adventures and some nice family time. Ty was able to relax and forget about the daily stress of work. Over the Labor Day weekend we took a trip with my family down to Denver. We took in the Denver Zoo and a Rockies game. It was so much fun and definetly started a new obcession in our 3 year old. He talks non-stop about "#17 Todd Helton, #2 Tulowinski, #7 Matsui, and #5 Holliday." He imitates the way they walk, talk, throw their bats, you name it. We have even caught him talking about them in his sleep! After about a month of this, he started memorizing other players on the team and the batting line up. I don't think that there was a more dissappointed fan than himself when they lost last week. He just sat with his hands over his face and cried and kept wimpering, "Ohhhh poor Rockies!" Carter refuses to lose or be bad at anything, so with the Rockies loss it was a good time for us to point out that even Rockies players lose sometimes. We are really in for some issues come T-ball! :-D
At the end of September, Ty went house shopping for us and found us a nice house only seconds from the town's golf course (convenient huh?!?) The only problem was, it wouldn't be ready until the end of October. The kids and I went and stayed with him for about 10 days then decided that hotel life wasn't the best for all of us and decided to make the trip back home to Wyoming. We enjoyed another 2 weeks there. Our days were filled with lots of playing and good ol' family time. Whitleigh got her first tooth and continued her practicing for crawling (she is sooooo close!). The house actually was available a little bit sooner than they expected so on the 22nd, the kids and I made yet another trip (this one for good) back here to Idaho. We were able to get the keys and get the house cleaned before all of our belonging were delivered on Friday morning.
At this point, we have boxes everywhere but are loving the fact that we finally have our own place and can finally get rid of the silly suitcases!!! Our 1 month homeless vacation turned into 2 1/2 months but thankfully we had family so close that were willing to take ALL of us in and support us through it all. It was extreamly difficult explaining everything to Carter and thankfully Whitleigh is just full of carefree smiles!
So, that's it. Everyone is doing great. I apologize again for leaving you hanging since June. Enjoy the new pictures... the kids have grown just a little!
